how come my fan just move for a while and then stop spinning?
although I tried to dismantle the fan. but I still don't know what is the problem of my fan. so I just gave up and ask for solution..

Not clear on which fan you mean. Heater? Radiator?
Most late model vehicles, in both applications, mount the fans to plastic, therefore a ground wire is also required. Check the grounding source.

Some fans are bolted to a clutch. This allows the fan to spin at a speed different than the speed of the pulley on the water pump.
Some fans are bolted directly to the pulley and the water pump.
If there is a clutch, the spring may have broken.

I presume it's the radiator fan since you asked in Cars-the fan usually stops when it has done its job of cooling the engine.It will restart again when the temperature reaches a certain point. If it's not this kind of fan and this is not your trouble, you need to see an electrician.

need to know if you have an electric fan or a centrifagul fan.

im assuming it is an electric fan. this is how they run, they go for awhile and shut off. it gets to hot, so they kick on again. if it shuts off and stays off, you got a problem.

its suppose to.it doesnt move all the time.when the engine gets to a certain degree,it kicks on and runs for a while,until it cools down then it stops.
