why is other games igorned in our country only cricket here and we indians?

in ads in have seen keep their children names after cricketerseg imran, sachin , rahul, so on goes basically we indians are hero worhippers why do we such lousy habits

You should have gotten into a "habit" of going to school and trying to acquiring an education. I haven't a clue as to what you are talking about and I doubt that you do either.

There are many reasons to say why cricket is popular than other games few of them are below,

The game is very entertaining since it has a mixture of power-accuracy, stunts (land diving...), strategy, statistics (charts-graphs), enormous heat at close clashes... all of these cannot be found in any other game...

As it is a lengthy game unlike football, hockey....people can be lazy and timepass by watching the game whole day and do nothing productive....

In schools and colleges since majority of the students like cricket others are forced to play cricket....also the cricket equipments are cheap and easily available.....

Games such as hockey, TT, badmitton, volleyball...... in which india can easily be the world leader.... but people are not willing to take them professionally since they dont yield good money like cricket (ads).......tennis, golf are also high money yielding game but only reachable to rich.......

Big companies endorsing their products feel cricket players are the best way of advertising the product......which inturn results in making these players heroes causing many young indians to join the fan club of these players.....

i think it's mainly due to the fact that india is better at cricket than at other games at which we suck royally...
the national sport of india is hockey - you wont find many people generating half the hype as they do for cricket
cricket's also popular as all the good players are worshipped and raved over - it's pure craziness

This is wrong that other games are ignored in my country.
Actually cricket is less expensive game and can be played anywhere for practicing.so people like do play this game mostly.

Tenis,chess,hokey,fotball and other game are also here in india to play. In tenis and in chess there is much money also.

Its depend on you which game you fine easy to play and so you like to play finally....that's it.
