For example, on Saturday there was only one Midwest regional game and today (Sunday) there are three. The same holds true for the Eastern region - one game today and 3 yesterday. It is interesting that the NCAA plays the same total number of games on each day, but is not balanced within the regions. Anybody know why? Is it a TV or venue issue?

With the new pod system and keeping top seeds closer to home, it all depends on which venue teams are sent to. For example, Washington State was seeded #3 in the East but they were sent to Sacramento for their first two rounds, which played on Thursday and Saturday. So did the Winston-Salem site, which hosted both North Carolina and Georgetown.

From my understanding, it is almost certainly a TV issue, they seem to try and have the same number of quality matchups on the Thurs-Sat games as the fri.-Sun. games.

I think it is easy , or a cop out for people to say "It is a T.V. issue."
I beleive it is a venue issue. Just Watch for yourself. I was right.
