I believe that they see the problems of the common people as they belong to the group. It is the finance minister who does not care about their problems or the inconvenience of the people and keeps ignoring his responsibility towards this important sector.

Employees have a right to strike and the employer has a right to replace them.

Yes, the callous and apathetic ministers should be condemned by one and all and removed from their positions.

In what is turning into a year-end feature, bank unions have threatened to go on a three-day strike from March 28 to 30 in a move that could delay salary and pension payments for a large number of people who have accounts with nationalised banks.

What makes it even tougher is the decision of the unions to club the strike with Ramnavmi, a gazetted holiday, on March 27. The fear is that a large number of bank employees will decide to take a day off on March 26, which is a Monday, to get a six-day break during the peak season.

While the unions are negotiating with the government, the timing raises pressure since last year's eight-day strike by State Bank of India employees threw the entire system in turmoil.

The unions have demands that they have been making for sometime now end the freeze on fresh recruitment in banks, overturn a court judgment on appointment on compassionate grounds, stop outsourcing of non-core activities and provide another option to bank employees to opt for pension facility. "The unions are just being unfair.

Bank managements have to tell them that if strikes become a recurring phenomenon then people will start shifting their accounts to private banks or foreign banks, wherever they have an option," an official said adding that the government was hopeful of convincing the unions.

But sources pointed out that the original proposal for the strike emanated from a nationalised bank where the management decided to move some union members from their present posting.

It should. These weasels make it hard on everybody.Instead of going to school to get the knowledge to obtain a more lucrative career, they take the easy way out by demanding higher wages ,which,in the end, costs the consumer.

I don't think any one likes someone else telling us how to run our life or business. let them make their point to their employers. sometimes these things can backfire.
in this case, that would be just fine.
