I mean it is obvious. In majority, Democrats rant and rave, while Republicans exhibit much more grace (and I am not talking about Y/A). Do modern Democrats lack social education?

Funny, as a Liberal I have always found Democrats to behave in a more mature manner; and since I personally am mature I recognize that this is a predisposition on my part, that I see them that way because I tend to agree with them more. And if you step back you will see that the same applies to you.

Excellent question. I have wondered this myself many times. I have two possibilities that I am leaning towards; 1.) I think most libs on here are the double latte drinking no serious job having types. 2.) I think they are still very angry from the 2000 Pres. election outcome. I think that sent them into a froth that they have yet to come out of. Then in 2004 all the media were reporting it looked like a kerry landslide based on the early post poll reports (they forgot Republicans have jobs and vote after work) and when it turned out to be a solid win by W that just pushed them over the edge. Also most of the people I know that are repubs are all serious career people with families and kids and a dog, pool, etc. I think that keeps us more grounded in reality....my $0.02 worth anywho...

Not to be nasty, but making generalizations shows ignorance, not maturity. Am I correct in assuming that the Dems. you are talking about are those you see and hear about in the media? What makes a better story, a serious intelligent statement, or a mouthy, raving lunatic? The media does the same to the Reps., so someone could make this same argument about them if they so desired.

I find it funny how you see yourself and your party in a romantic light that you and you cohorts are a group of knights in white satin so eloquent and sophisticated. And some how I see you as the opposite and backwards thinking. Its funny how politics effects one's perception of yourself and others. Anyways...I'm glad as Americans we can banter like this. Politics wouldn't be any fun without you brother.
