Jason Kidd is a great player, but he doesnt measure up to Nash's abilities. Nash puts up more points and assists than Kidd, while he makes his whole team a lot better. If you can remember the Suns before they added Nash, they had Marion, a young Amare and didnt do much at all. Now they are an elite team in the west. Kidd on the other hand, is an amazing point guard, but barely holding on to the 8th playoff spot in the east with a losing record

I would actually take Kidd. What did Nash ever do before the Suns. I could play as well as Nash with all those players around me. I think if I did have some big time players for Nash to play with, I would take Nash, but Kidd is the better individual player.

Nash hands down! He has more all around skills as well as natural leadership. After all he has been considered one of the MVP candidates much more in his career than Kidd. Also, Nash is, and will always be more important overall to his team and therefore harder to replace than would Kidd!

That's a good question. Kidd is a great player who is capable of averaging triple doubles and he plays ok defense. However right now if you look at this based on who is making their team better you'd have to go with Nash. His skills on the offensive end I fell out way Kidd's.

Jason Kidd, Because he plays much better D and he's the best rebounding PG since Big O. And Still he gets plenty of assist. But Nash isn't bad.

...kidd plays defense and rebounds...and has never had two studs who play inside like Amare and Shawn...and guys who get after it on the break like Amare , marion, barbosa and bell...in Jersey JR was always hurt and had nowhere near the range marion has...and the big guys kidd has had around him didnt have the range to create spacing on the floor...while Nash has always played pretty well , he never had a cast that he could run as well as the suns...getting away from dallas has helped both teams as the Mavs wanted to get all around play from their 1 position and got the opportunity to develop younger more athletic players (read ;defensive) when Nash chased the money...in their primes I would definitely take Kidd...the suns, while they win a lot of games are not set up good enough to win a title...(witness the lack of transition defense while getting blown out by the Nuggets last nite)

Steve Nash.

Nash not only gets you the ball, but has the ability to take over games (ala Dallas) and is probably a better ballhandler (my opinion). Kidd's great, but with Steve Nash's shooting ability, passing awareness, and ball handling, I don't see how you couldn't select Nash.

Plus he can run the pick and roll better than anybody, and that in itself, is a big plus for big guys that are agile (ala Amare Stoudamire). Nash could do the same for a guy like Dwight Howard or Miki Moore, prehaps.

Nash

Right now Nash, he is in his prime. Kidd is a bit past his prime and losing a step. If both were in their primes I would give the edge to Nash because he is a better shooter.
