Many computers come with a D drive partition on the hard drive. This is where Windows keeps the information necessary to do System Restores back to a selected date.

If you have not been purposely storing data on the D drive, then Windows is using it. If so, do not format it or you will lose all the system backup. Windows will manage the space and delete old backup files by itself. If you want to change how much space to use for backup, you can do it in Control Panel/Performance and Maintenance/System/System Restore/Settings.

If you have been purposely storing data on the D drive, then you can go in and delete some just like on the C drive. Then defrag it.

Good Luck

just delete all you don't need on the d drive, you can also copy content you'd like to keep elsewhere and then format the d drive, make sure that it is in fact a separate drive and not a windows partition, otherwise you wipe everything out.
but i would say, just delete what you don't want on d, then do a defragmentation on it (or for that matter all drives)

I assume you D drive is a hard drive and if you've save everything on your D drive just open my computer right click on your D drive and click format that'll wipe everything off
