are the cheap ones just as acurate as the more costly test?

first response is the best to take you can take it up to five days before your expected period.. and you can test at any time of the day..

Some tests are more sensitive than others in early pregnancy. First Response Early Result is the one you can get at Walmart and it is one of the most sensitive ones I've seen that you can get in the US. The link I've included as a source is a list of the HPT's (home pregnancy tests) that are common, and their sensitivity. Yes the cheap are as good as the more expensive ones. The test can give false negatives though. But it usually does that because your not far enough for the test to pick up the harmone its testing for.

yes some just might not be as sensitive, just read the instructions.
