Always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. We need all of that info to give an informed answer. Without a wiring diagram, you'll have to do some detective work. Remove the headlight to see what color wires power the light. Open the handlebar dimmer switch to see what color wire powers the head light wires. Back track that wire to find where it gets it's power (test with a test light). Where the switch plugs into the wire harness, check for power on the wire harness side. Search the electrical system for that color wire (fuse box, ignition switch). A wiring diagram is necessary - purchase a service manual for your bike. A good possibility the ignition switch is at fault.
