Robert, can you add some additional details and tell us which city you live in?
It might help.

~~ But no matter where you live, there are jobs that people with a disability can do.
Again, I don't know the extent of your disability.
If your able to sit, there are many office/administration jobs you could handle.
Some need minimal training too.

~~ As a help I've included a link to a newspaper site, choose your state and then the paper from your area.
Check the employment section:
http://www.onlinenewspapers.com/usstate/usatable.htm

~~ Another good resource is your state's offficial website and often your city's website will have information about local employment.

EDIT:
This is a link to The Bradford Era.
Just keep checking on the classifieds - Employment.
Also, try the Employment agencies:
http://yellowpages.superpages.com/listings.jsp?C=employment&CID=520993&T=bradford&S=pa&R=N&search=Find+It&SCS=1&SRC=promo6&QCID=6209700118383

~~ As well, why don't you decide what work you would like (and are physically capable) of.
Then choose the local company you would like to work for.
Government jobs (in particular) cannot discriminate against the disabled.
Next, write up an employment proposal (basically, a letter explaining why that company needs to hire you and what you can bring to their business).
* Your maturity
* Stability and relaibility
* Trustworthiness and honesty
* Connection to your city
* Desire to be employed
* Willingness to retrain and learn new skills
These are all admirable traits for an employer to consider.
Promote yourself as a valuable assset waiting to be hired!
Submit it to the company then follow up in a week with a phone call.

Network with everyone you know, even people in the businesses you frequent.

Robert, you do not have to wait around for a suitable position to become available!
Above all, stay focussed on your goal, learn from every negative and NEVER get discouraged.
The very best of luck.
