We wear the ring on our left hand as your ring finger on that hand has a vein that leads to your heart and no other finger has, I'm not sure about the other countries though.

Anybody who wears a wedding ring wears it on THEIR left hand, and I don't think the rest of the WORLD use their right hand for anything much except - well, I won't go into that here ! ! !

I thought it was wedding ring on your left hand, engagement on your right hand but I guess it varies with culture.

Really? Well I know for fact that UK(obviously) France, America, Spain, Albania, South Africa, Italy, Austrailia, Japan, Norway, Sweden, Finland. Poland and Russia all do it left hand because I know people from these countires!

In some countries the left hand is viewed as bad luck or filthy...
So, some cultures wear them on different hands or fingers because of their cultural practices...
