Im just wondering, if we purchase something online (not through any websites or auction site).. how do we track or catch em?
Can we report to the police?
If we have their ID number, phone number, address, email and all..

Can we? can they be tracked?

Tracking it really depends on where you ordered it from! You would need a tracking number. Did you pay someone with a check, or some other way so that you have proof of conducting a transaction with them? If so then you could go to small claims court. Have you contacted them already to ask what is going on? Keep bugging them, and keep records of it.

If you did not place an order through a registered site - no one is liable for the transaction. It would be like handing over money to a stranger in the street and assuming you will receive the good.

If you paid by credit card I advise you take proof of purchase to the bank, and they may be able to cancel the payment and refund the money.

This can be done through check or Debit card as well.

You could contact the police as this is a case of fraud, only as long as you have concrete evidence. You must show the site and method you ordered the good. How you paid and you must be able to prove who you sent the money to . You can not just send an address and say that is him, if you know what I mean.

I also suggest you contact the site (if any) that you used and refer to the faq.

I am sorry to hear about this case, but I wish you all the best to get the money back.

I ordered something, which was charged to my Visa,Thur Pay pal,and didn't receive. I e-mailed them and the place the order was to be sent from . Got a message next day that a replacement would be sent, and I got it in 3 more days.
