I tell my Marines to mix some salt with some warm water, and gargle it. This causes the bacteria that's causing pain in your throat to absorbed into the salt. after words gargle with some listerine. It's the quickest thing to do while out in the field getting ready for battle.

You could gargle with warm salt water 2 or 3 times a day.Use about 1/2 tsp salt in a glass of warm.If that does'nt help you should see your doctor if its real bad.You could have strept throat or tonsilitus.

I suggest you gargle with salt water. Then consume cough drops throughout the day. It will relieve the sourness for sure by tomorrow. Gargle before bed too. Salt is a healing aid.
