Sounds like this is the flu, or some other virus. Your lymph nodes are probably swollen (the pain in your breast).

However, if you're breast feeding and your breast is very swollen, becomes red and hot to the touch, you may want to go have it checked out. It could be mastitis.

Symptoms of Mastitis is swollen breast, red , has heat in breast, may have red lines on breast. If touched where it hurts there should be a hard lump there. Have these symptoms go to the ER now. Should have a fever with the chills too.

How does it hurt while you are breastfeeding? What color are your nipples? If it comes on after you start nursing and feels like burning or like someone is slicing your nipples with a razor blade you may have thrush. If you do, your nipples will probably be a darker pink, with a purple tint even, than they normally are.

Thrush is a yeast infection you can get on the nipples while breastfeeding, especially if your baby has it or if you had a c-section as the antibiotics weaken your resistance to it. There are some over the counter things you can use for it but it's best to get nystatin cream from your doctor. You also have to have your baby checked because if he/she has it you can just keep passing it back and forth. If he/she does have it there should be a white coating on their tongue or mouth that you can't rub off.

It does sound a bit like mastitis, but you are on antibiotics so that should help. Try massaging your breasts before you breastfeed, this will help prevent clogged milk ducts. (I know, this will probably bother you right ow, but it will help!) I would suggest visiting the doctor, as your breast should not be painful. Mastitis can feel like the flu.
