As a lib, I wouldn't vote for that flip-flopper!

Joe Lieberman is a good Democrat, an excellent senator and a good man. I disagree with him on one issue. The Democrat party made a mistake by nominating Ned Lamont; they forced Lieberman to run as an Independent. Lieberman knew that he had more to contribute to Connecticut's - and America's - domestic and geopolitical interests than a single-issue newby like Lamont. The people of Connecticut rightly defied the party machinery and voted for the best man. I cannot think of a single issue on which he has "flip-flopped". He calls it like he sees it, no matter how unpopular it is to say one's own mind and refuse to "toe the party line".
What are American politicians supposed to do for us: compete in "beauty pageants" or work to defend principles?

Lieberman is one of the very few Democrats in the Senate that hasn't gone completely off his rocker. It's too bad that you libs see him as the enemy because he's one of the few Dems that makes sense. He's still a Democrat so I can tell you that he will not be nominated by the Republican Party but you libs could learn a whole lot if you'd just stop your constant whining and listen to the man once in a while

Where has Lieberman flip flopped? Certainly not on the war issue. Lieberman has zero chance of getting elected on any ticket. Too conservative for the Democratic war traitors and too liberal for the conservatives on the Repub side.

Joe Lieberman is one of the few liberals with character or class. Amazing how he was thrown under the bus after being the democratic Vice-Presidential candidate in 2000. Good show of party loyalty, lefties.

Lieberman is the only honest Conservative Democrat there is. I would support him for President as long as he changed party's.

Lieberman would be a fool to run for President. He is probably the 2nd most powerful man in DC right now.
I do like him though.

Senator Lieberman had his chance at the Presidential nomination. He's probably not interested in doing it all over again.

He is still a social liberal and is not opposed to taxes. He has never flip flopped. He has always been pro defense and a strong military supporter. The democrat party left him he did not leave them. Joe is what a democrat was when I still respected them.

I don't believe the Senator is seeking the Republican nomination, but it would certainly be understandable after he was deserted by the powers that be in the Democratic Party. In their effort to appease the extremists in their ranks, they turned their backs on a man who has been loyal to the party and its ideals for decades. In doing so, they effectively abandoned one of the few remaining Democrats who is still capable of placing the national interest above the interest of their party and their own personal ambition.
But thanks for sharing.
