Mine is a band called Jimmie's Chicken Shack. Most people have never heard of them, but they were big-time where I grew up. They even had a video on MTV ("High") and everyone at my old high school listened to them back in the day. Anyone remember them? Bonus points if you didn't grow up in Maryland.

I've heard of them! Mostly because my friend never stops talking about Jimmie's Chicken Shack. Some say that Willa Ford is a one-hit wonder...she'd be my favorite either way.

I was in Jr High (7th and 8th grade) in 1971, 72 and the first half of 1973. That was when AM radio was still king. Almost every song that made the Billboard charts was a one hit wonder.
Don't know the band Jimmie's Chicken Shack, though I think I ate there once while passing through San Antonio.

Ooo there are a lot that i'm fond of! I'm prehaps more adhere to listen to the one hit wonders, one song, then all of popular music today haha. I'm going to have to say my favorite song was " The Freshmen" - the Verve Pipe.
