Yes. I remember almost losing my lunch at the top of the Eiffel Tower. I got off the lift and the floor bent down. I can't remember if it was a grate, but it was a stomach churning feeling.

It does give me the creeps.
If you ever go to the CN tower in Toronto, up in the observation deck they have a section with a glass floor. You look down and the ground is 1600 ft below you. There was NO WAY I was standing on that!

i fear metal grates and walk around them.
shiver down my spine thinking about walking on one and sinking feeling in my stomach at the thought of jumping on one. yikes!

I'd walk, over them but very quickly. I couldn't jump, on them, for the fear, of falling down.
