Let me tell you, put your foot down with her now. Soon to be ex's and ex's that pull this kind of stuff will always do it for as long as you let them get away with it. If you agreed to be responsible for their education, then you get the final say in where they go, afterall you are paying the expenses. You shouldn't have to have a financial hardship that is unnecessary. If the ex doesn't like it, then she can pay for it out of her income. That's just wrong of her to try to suck you dry like that. As far as your daughter goes, you are the parent, you do not have to explain yourself to her or justify it to her, she's a child and has no business telling you what to do or how to manage your finances. So she's upset, too bad for her. Just let her know that you love her as much as you have always loved her, but that she's not going to get everything she wants. Kids need limits, especially when finances are involved. Stick to it and don't give in, eventually she will get over it, afterall she's 10. Best of Luck to you, we have a pyscho ex to deal with all the time too!

I think it is time to vanish like the for on a sunny day.
I mean just that. dissapear and do not show your face around there again.
There are many nations you can go to and work without anyone having any idea where you are and how to find you.
Yes I know it is the children and you just have to be there. All I can say is bend over and kiss. You will not win this one.

If you are in the US, I can almost guarantee you that if teh children are with her now, that is where the courts will decide that they STAY. As for the education, have her put it in writing, if there is a court document saying you are responsible for education that can easily be modified. As fro your daughter, all you can do is explain it to her, at 10 years old if you write out a budget she is likely to understand it well.
