It could just be a ploy or he may mean it. Also he might feel he is not able to take are of all the responsibility that brings with it. I hope he thinks about that and not just what is in his pants.

I sure don't see any reason to ever get married. I tried it once a long time ago and sure won't ever do that again.

What more do you need?
You say he has told you he loves you & wants to marry you so surely he does not have to get down on bended knee, does he? If you both know what the other expects from the future then I see no reason for overblown romantic gestures like an official proposal.
Be grateful that you have found a man who loves you & wants to spend his life with you. Be happy.

It was always known that my husband and I were going to get married. I asked him 3 times and the answer was "I am not ready yet" We have been living together for 4 years I think. One morning he woke up and said "lets get married" I jumped at the chance, we were married in 6 months, a beautiful wedding (500+). We have been married for 20 years. Please don't think he is playing with you. Let him have his time... what is a little time compared to the rest of your lives???

Yes he said that he wants to marry you but what if he meant in the future. He could also be waiting for a really romantic opportunity. Waiting wouldn't hurt. Be surprised!

Hey gurl is it doubt that i am hearing from that young voice eh? Unless necessary to misplace that faith, i suggest you trust him that in time he will finally ask you.

You see, love is not all about the wedding he can give, but its the marriage you both can offer to each other after announcing the world you're husband and wife. It's the responsibility of keeping the marriage sacred and fulfilling the promises you made to each other after the celebration of your wedding night.

Don't rush it, take it easy, in the meantime just let it be.

Just because he wants to merry you doesn't mean he is ready now. How old is he, how old are you is he able to support a family. Once he ask for your hand it is common for the marriage to take place within a year or less.
