The writers of looney tunes need characters that stood out enough to bring in money.they didnt think that porky as a baby would be cute either. This is why (i'm hott)..lol...no, this is why the writers didnt include porky....( they also didnt have enough money to fund it).

I think they (unfortunately) chose the more "popular" character - Donald Duck. Since he's always fighting with Bugs, and now Bugs has his female friend, and Donald has his female friend, with the addition of those two characters, someone had to go. Sylvester / Tweety, you know. They kept the classic pairings.

Also, just off the cuff, I think a stuttering pig for little tiny children would've sent a really sad message.
