Looking to purchase a new UNLOCKED mobile (preferably Nokia) - does anyone know if I could buy one while in the States soon and then when back in the UK, as unlocked I will be able to use with my Orange Sim (on monthly contract).
Thanks

As long as the phone is actually unlocked and it's a tri or quad band phone, it should work.

My American friends tried to use their mobile phones in the UK and other countries in Europe with a local sim card - it never worked, the US phones are apparently not compatible.
