I cannot answer your question correctley but I think good comedy is timeless. And rare.

I love to watch old comedy, it is a play on words and takes some imagination and intelligence. The new comedy consists of foul language and obscenities. I stopped listening and rather watch anything then comedy dished out by mental midgets.

Old comedies seems to be funnier than the new ones.

The old comedy was CLEAN enjoyable fun, whether it be slap stick, it just comic lines.
Today's comic's are dirty, vulgar and the comics must have jock itch, because they always go for the crouch.
