Easy, but will require some work. Spot is NOT gone, but has simply disappeared. What you need to do is close all the windows of the house. Then go to Home Depot and get some foggers. With the right protective gear for your eyes (maybe night vision), fog up the house. The CAREFULLY walk around the house until you see am outline of a dog. With Magic marker, carefully color in the outline of the dog, and walla! spot is back. He wont look the same, but at least you will have your dog back.
Good luck

I really wish I could help you more with this but I don't have much experience in this area. Is he gone like totally disappeared and doesn't seem to exist? Or just invisible? Either way I'd be very careful where I step around my house.
Have you consulted your local magician? I'm sure they could be of some assistance to you in your time of need if its just invisible. I would think though that if your pooch has completely vanished without a trace you may need to find a pet psychic to find out if it's okay where it is. Just don't let on to the RSPCA what happened otherwise they'll be onto you for mistreatment of your pet.

Man, I would think he is in pain somewhere. lol. Don't do that again. Perhaps a steak bone on the front porch may bring him back.

A strong fan blowing a case of powder all over the house should do the trick. =)
