lots of sex and hot curry as the above suggestion :
Breast & Nipple Stimulation:
This is a well known method of contracting the uterus. It not only stimulates the uterus during labour, but is very beneficial after the birth to aid in expelling the placenta & thus avoiding haemorrhage.
Nipple Stimulation produces a natural chemical named Oxytocin, which is the safest form of induction.
If you apply heat to the breasts & stimulate the nipples, it is supposed to get this chemical going naturally & could start labour.
First apply a warm compress to both breasts, uncover 1 breast & begin the use of a breast pump for 15 min, then switch sides & place the warm compress on the pumped side & begin pumping on other side. Continue this technique until regular, strong & rhythmic contractions begin. Should contractions start to decline in strength or regularity, resume stimulation with the breast pump for 5 mins a side. Contractions should be a minimum of 5 minutes apart lasting 60-90 seconds.
Do a simple nipple stimulation for 15 minutes at a time every 3/4 hours if you do not want to use a breast pump.
Spicy food:
It is often recommended as a way of getting labour going. Research shows that chilli peppers contain a chemical called capsaicin that can aid contractions.
Sex & Semen for Starting Labour:
Sex accompanied by stimulation to climax is helpful to bring on contractions. Semen acts as a prostaglandin on the cervix & if you're trying to help stretch out the lower uterine segment to allow the baby to drop, more semen can only help.
Rest at night if possible, use the day to get things moving, but don’t exhaust all your energy in early labour. You have a long way to go, and more energy will be required then. Being exhausted later makes the seduction of pain relief or intervention stronger and more likely.
Walk – especially walking through contractions – it’s the best thing you can do!
Stairs – climbing stairs is a great way to get things going and to help get that baby down and into a good position.
Avoid the bath or swimming – it counteracts gravity. Jump in the shower instead and if you need to sit down on a chair in a shower that’s okay. If it’s comfortable to do so, sit on the chair backwards as it will encourage baby into a better position if you can get your hips higher than your knees.
Keep upright where possible – make use of gravity. When the uterus contracts, it contracts forwards, so lean into them, bend the knees and have your knees apart. Don’t lean forward so much that gravity wont help – about a 45 degree angle is good.
Keep yourself busy – find yourself a project to do to distract yourself to help with the anticipation. Sort your recipes in an album, store photos, have lunch / dinner with friends or family, do scrapbooking – anything to keep your mind off going into labour or it can drive you mad!
MOST IMPORTANTLY REMEMBER! That baby will come when he is ready – sometimes no matter what you will to happen, baby will not come when we would most like it! The greatest gift you can give your baby right now is the gift of choosing his own birthdate, should the both of you be healthy.

Love your heart, you must be very uncomfortable as well as anxious to hold your precious bundle in your arms, but listen to the doctor when it comes to bringing on labor - some little ones need a little more time in the "cooker" to be sure that their little lungs have proper surfectant and they have built up immunities. Also people ( I do not happen to be among them, but it is an interesting thing to think about as you wait anyway) who are into the zodiac and horoscopes say that not just the day, but the very MOMENT of your little ones birth is of such lifelong significance that nothing should be done to interfere with that except in the case of danger to the baby or mom.
I am sure that many would say that this is anecdotal and meaningless, but my brother was late, so Mom let the doc induce. He (my brother, not the doctor) was always fighting this or that bug throughout early childhood (nothing serious just a river of runny noses and a forest of achy ears - he is a fine robust middle aged man now, though)...a few years later my sister was late, but Mom decided that if Mama elephants could be knocked up for 2 years, in the name of interspecies motherhood, Mom could endure a little extra pregnancy on her part. Besides, I, her eldest , was very premature so she figured she owed the gestation bank a little time. My sister came within normal time limits, the people from the Guiness Book of Work Records was not there, and I assure you they will not be at your bedside either, at least not for the reason we discussed. My sister had no trouble with leaky noses or hurty ears, and although there is no proof one had anything to do with the other, my Mom believes.
Gosh I am wordy... You mightve gone into labor just reading mr blather on - Sorry.
In the meantime, walking is good for you, raspberry tea is tasty,(especially with mint milanoes) and I agree with at least 1 other advisor - sex may help, and even if it doesnt, you may as well enjoy yourselves before the sweet little mood breaker gets here.
God Love You and may your babies life be one of daily blessings.
Be gentle with me- Spell check appears to be on thr fritz :D

I tried all the usual ones but then i found one that midwives use (cant remember which country!) which is another type of tea- put a tsp of cumin seeds and an inch cube of potato in a cup-the potato takes the bitterness away. have a cup of that every 2 hours for six hours. Also although doctors wouldnt want you to try it, being dehydrated helps bring on contractions but obviously be careful!! I think they worked for me but who knows when he would have come??!!

My ultimate suggestion: drink pink Raspberry Leaf tea thrice an afternoon (extremely this way of tea, no longer something would have a similar effect). it incredibly is a uterine toner, which will help your physique deliver itself closer to being waiting for hard artwork. purchase some night Primrose Oil pills, insert a pill close on your cervix two times each and on a daily basis to soften the cervix (on a similar time because it incredibly is a sprint messy, it worked wonders for me). combine those with quite a number of strolling to help toddler pass decrease into your pelvis. those are the final, safest concepts i've got have been given for you.

Your baby will get here when your baby feels darn good and ready to! Just have some patience and keep doing what you've been doing. Maintain your exercise and keep eating healthy. Congratulations!

Spicy food like Chinese is one suggestion. The other one is to make love...there is an element in sperm that is rumored to help induce labor.
