now you have that number, add the two digits together, now minus that number from the number you first thought of, and tell me where it falls between ... for example 10 and 20 or 20 and 30 or 60 70 etc etc.

Let me spoil it as well:
x is the tens digit, y is the units digit.
a- The number you think of => 10*x + y
b- The sum of the digits => x + y
c- Subtract b from a => 10x + y - x - y = 9x
You got the table of 9. The results can only be:
9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81.
(10-19 -> 9, 90-99 -> 81).
BTW: does not work if you choose "100" as your first number!

there is only one possible answer for each number bracket you have mentioned.
say you take 11. 11-2=9=12-3=13-4 etc. any number between 10-19 will result in the answer 9.
say 20-30.. 21-3=22-4=25-5=24-6=25-7=18 etc.
30-40...30-3=31-4=32-5=33-6=27 etc....

and so on
