I am trying to restore my PC back to at least factory settings.I have manged to reinstall windows xp home.I do not have any master cds to be able to get my pc up and running.Any thoughts as to what I might do as I now have one useless pc? By the way I am not a pc wizzkid so no technical replies that I won't understand!

Contact Pbell you can get recovery cds from them at a cost.

It sounds like Secure Erase did it's job well!

Seriously, you will never recover any of your personal data, unless you backed up your PC before running it, that stuff's really GONE.

To get the Recovery XP CD's, go to Packard Bell's website and look in the Support section. The Recovery XP CD's will restore your PC to factory settings almost automatically, no geekmanship required.

Go to yuor programs and click on system tools and click restore.
