what i'm trying to say.. is that i'm so nice and go out of my way, all the time to do things for others and they take advantage of it, all the time..
and i know this, and let them do it to me over and over again.
try not to complain.
they walk on me because they know i have a big heart, and i will always be there when they need me. i can't change that about me.
i'm not a sheep, i do speak out..
but i'm just venting i guess. wanting someone to tell me something, to make me feel better about my situation....
i dunno......
they can't do it for me... thought that you fine people could shed some light as to what steps i should take to be more assertave, or angry, or whatever it takes...
thank you to anyone who answers..

Run to the top of somewhere high and declare yourself as loud as you can the ruler of the world
very silly!? yes it is! But a great confidence booster
If you can do this, when others can hear.
Then the self-proclaimed doormat, can stand up a little more, and scream in the face of those who deserve it
Smile maniacally, makes them think you are up to something, well you are.
Brush yourself down, and tell the world to watch out, the doormat is gone. Good luck, happy shouting from high places. Future ruler of the world. ( - :

Your letting people rule your life, and your doing it right now. If you think you should change, change. You shouldn't feel the need to ask people about it. But if you DO decide to change, don't become a totally different person. You said you have a big heart? Well, keep your big heart, and keep on being nice, but know when to put your foot down, when people are on the verge of 'walking all over you' Its good that you try not to complain, but you have to speak out, tell people how you feel. I really hope I helped you, and you won't have to be the doormat anymore.

Be more assertive to get what you want. If it respect demand respect. Speak loud enough to have your voice heard. No matter what picking on anybody is no excuse. Confront these people and show them that you don't care. Whenever someone has something to bad to say about me, I just laugh at them.

You should complain.Nobody deserves to be a'door mat'.Its nice that you ask others opinions, but you shouldn't allow them to treat you like a 'door mat'.You need to adjust your attitude to stand up for yourself.

You have to love yourself for others to love you. Also you have to sow before you can reap, but you can't sow what you don't have. So change comes from the inside. Good luck. I hope it all goes well for you.

Pick on them back..and tenfold. Once you start slappin' and kickin' some people around, you feel better.
