The LUX is one lumen per square meter.
It is also 10^-4 Phot.

One Phot is equal to one lumen per square centimeter.

One lumen per square foot = 1 foot-candle

Converting the area factor, you can then get:

1 foot candle = 10.76391 lux, or

1 lux = 0.09290 foot-candle.
