I use Rimmel instant tan ( sun shimmer or something like that)
It's the stuff that goes on and is brown immediately ( not the stuff you wait hours for to develop)
I always wash my hands with hot water and soap afterwards but my palms are stained pinky brown and look wierd to say the least... I find that the best soap is the stuff i find in hotel bathrooms - but even then it doesn't always do the trick... i don't like wearing gloves to apply it, so what can i use to get the stuff off my hands? Something safe...( hey i even tried the stuff they use in garages to clean oil off their hands...no help thought!)
Thanks

Try rubbing exfoliator into your hands and giving a good massage. Try doing that as well before you self tan, will make sure your hands are nice and smooth, so hopefully it wont leave rough, dry skin for the lotion to stick to. Another thing I have used when i have stains on my hands, is to make a paste in my hands with some oxiclean, rub that in well, (has an exfoliating effect too) then wash off well. It will dry the skin, so make sure you moisturise well afterwards.

Maybe you could try a different approach. I fix furniture, and when I'm staining, if I don't want the stain to bite too hard, I'll use a solvent of the same type as the stain to wet the wood, which prevents the stain from absorbing too much. So, maybe try using hand lotion before you wipe on the tanning product; the lotion might create a barrier between the product and your skin. I'll bet it will work.

It shouldn't stain if you always immediately wash your hands after applying the tan. When they are already stained, the gentlest thing to do without hurting your hands is to rub them with a cut lemon, a few times a day.

I used to have the same problem. I didnt like gloves either but I tried different brands and found one that was some generic name that allowed me to put the tanning solution on smoothly and evenly. It didnt catch anywhere and I would do my hands lightly to match my arms and I was finished. Other than that, I would say turpentine... its afe enough as long as you arent using it daily.

Lemon juice. Squeeze some into your hand and rub for about 5 minutes, and it should come off.

use a barrier cream (any lotion) on your hands before applying the instant tan.
if there is any left on your hands after washing them, nail polish remover works really well. just be sure to moisturize like crazy after you do this.

hia it is probably best to wear gloves as it is a nightmare to remove from your hands but if you havent got any try using a small amount of nail varnish remover that should get it off

end using self-tanner. Use genuine tanning lotion and get some genuine sunlight on your pores and skin. Self-tanner never is going on gentle, it never looks organic, and you will constantly get streaks and lines, such as you pronounced, fantastically interior the creases.
