The younger girl was flirtatious too. If she was his daughter's friend and 18, would it change how you feel about it?

No, he was just trying to get a grip on life and validate his existence. Yes, he was seduced by his fantasy, however in the end, he understood where his happiness existed. If she was18, it still wouldn't make any difference how I feel about it. The Dad would still be affected by the girl's youth. The fact that the character was under 18 only served to make the taboo more dramatic. It was more about his need to recapture that feeling he once had about being wanted and desired by someone who looked at him like he was desirable.

No, I don't think he was a pervert. The character examined his relationship with his wife and found it unrewarding. Yes, he was attracted to the younger girl, and the younger girl was attracted to the older man - since this was a movie I accepted it for what it was - an entertaining story.

No, he was not a pervert. He was tired of his life and that's why he considered having something with this girl, but in the end, he didn't give up to temptation. I think that hardly qualifies as 'pervert'.

I just think he was going through a midlife crisis.

But the whole premisce of the movie was about peoples fascination with "beauty".

He was a little bit of a prevert, but he was harmless. And if he was a real one, he would have not stopped when she was ready to sleep with him.
