My mom is a redhead and she is the only redhead in her family and she comes from an all german family. I guess it was a freakish thing?

I guess the same reason that if you are brown, you are a paki, if you are black, you are african. Basically, it is ignorance.

I always assumed if they had red hair they were reddish. Ha! Ha! Seriously, I never heard of that. Maybe its a regional thing.

I have black hair, but if I grow out my beard it starts to turn red, I do not sense but it is true.
