My favorite necklace ( green day! ) is made out of nickel, and after a few minutes of wearing it my skin goes red and itchy, the nickel irritates me. my friend has the same problem and she puts nail polish on it, but somehow i feel that having nailpolish on your neck and chest can't be too good for your skin either. what can i do so that i'm able to wear the necklace?

I have a nickel allergy too and it reacts within about three seconds of contacting my skin, even with the studs on Jeans. I do the same thing, put three or four coats of clear nail polish on it and let it dry before wearing it. Usually works pretty good. You can also buy a solution on the internet if you do a search for nickel allergy solution

Nothing. You have a nickel allergy. You could try using a lacquer intended for brass to coat it, but it'll probably alter the look, and will flake off eventually. Such a lacquer can be purchased at an arts and crafts store, I think Krylon makes a version of it.

There's not much you can do, if you have a nickle allergy.
You should try to buy "nickle-free" jewelry.
May I suggest; Simply Whispers.
