I have an old music box, probably about 60 years old, and it plays a lovely tinkling tune - however, I don't know what tune this is or even how to find out? Can you advise me how I could find out what the name of this lovely tune is? Thanks everyone!

Ask an elderly person. Most music box tunes were very popular when they were made.

Have you checked all over the box ? Most times they name of the tune is written some where on or in the box,even look under it and under and material that might be covering the inside of the box.Try to look at the movement it self ,it could be stamped on that.

Record it as mp3 and post it on youtube with the question. Sing it on the street on a Saturday afternoon with a sign asking the passers by :o)

Carefully unscrew the mechanism - the title is usually stamped on the frame.
