And if you do, are you strict with your rulings? for example, would you say 'no' to low cut shirts, or have a certain limit for them? If you do, why do you enforce the rules, cause you fear for her safety/wish for her to look 'decent' (in your eyes)?

I'm just completely curious here, my parents are very strict with what i'm allowed to wear when leaving the house, and hence i'm too shy to go out in those things now, lol ♫♡♫ oh yeah, and if a mother is answering, are you stricter with what she wears than what you wear?

Styles have changed over the years. I couldn't be strict in the same sense as I might have been years ago. However I would not allow anything too provocative. If you trust your daughter you must give her some fashion leeway.

I don't have a daughter, but if I did I would be strict about what she wears when she leaves the house. I see a lot of young girls half naked, and that would not be allowed with my daughter. I wouldn't wear anything I didn't let my daughter wear. I believe a parent should lead by example. Do as I say, and not as I do, never works.

I was a teen(70's & 80's) what some young ladies wore made my eyes pop out & I'm from the "Wood Stock" hippy generation. I can't figure out how girls now keep the jeans up. We had hip-huggers but not THAT low. Houston TX is where I'm from & we see all kinds of fashion. Every time I see a new piercing or tatoo spot, I just roll my eyes.

luckily i had a boy!! but i would lenient, but strict. no belly showing, no skirts that if she bends over you see underwear, no cleavage, etc. I'm not raising any girl that is trying to show the world what she has!! (I've never been comfortable looking at others wearing it either!) great question! ♥
