I already have 2*256 MB installed, so i suppose i have to take out one 256 MB from one slot, and replace it with the 1GB one. Has anybody got any clue how to do that? By the way, what type memory shall I buy? and how to install it? I have found no service manual for my laptop on the internet.

if in uk call mr memory

honest advice and great service

you might need to ditch both sticks and go for 2* 512mb or 1* 1gb

they are very easy to replace-normally two screws hold the cover in place

crucial.com and kinston memory are also good suppliers

when you handle the ram ensure that you are not statically charged, touch something earthed like a radiator and only touch the otter edges

Use this free tool to tell you what memory types, amounts and combinations your pc can handle:

The access to the memory area is usually one screw in a plate about 3in by 3in the bottom panel.
