Quality means the totality of the attributes, characteristic etc. which make some thing what it is. Described mostly through nouns and adjectives. For example: Wanted a fair, tall, slim, good looking, well educated and honest life partner - Here all the adjectives are the various attributes of a person. Another example: Pure water is a colorless odorless and tasteless liquid at room temperature.

Quality is also used in every day life as "Fitness for use" (Is the food quality OK? means is it fit for consumption?). In this case, the individual attributes of appearance, taste, hygiene etc. are combined into one final yes or no question. Product quality is finally addressed thus and is called inspection.

Quality means has another meaning - a mean which is of right quality! Means may refer to methods and processes for achieving a goal.
