Only once, when I was about 14.

I was spending the night with one of my school friends and dreamed of a place I'd never been--it was an older home, with an enclosed spiral staircase that was separated by a wall from a normal staircase. I went up this staircase and into a room with bookshelves full of books, a bed, and a desk.

The next day, my friend and I went over to another friend's house--I'd never been there. When we got there, the girl we'd gone to see took us to her room--reached by an enclosed spiral staircase (which I now knew to be the back stairs that many older homes in the Philadelphia area were built with), which was separated by a wall from the front stairs.

Since she was a very scholarly sort, the bookshelves and books weren't too surprising--what hit me, though, was that it was identical to the room I'd dreamed of--right down to the covers on the bed!

It happens for places only.

Like sometimes when I go out to this place where i've never visited before and i have this strange deja vu feeling about it as though I've been there but the truth is i've seen that place in my dream before i even been there.

Strange huh. I think it happened more than once, including places i see on tv. Like when i was watching a show from Discovery Travel & Living, i saw a location on tv and something popped in my head saying "this place appeared in my dream before, i didn't know it really exists."

Cool...

Not in exact terms, but i have had dreams that foretold somethings in my life. And these were not even minor events. The dreams I had were very symbolic, but they involved people or situations that affected me. I would remember such dreams clearly because they were very vivid, and ominous. Later, when things happened I came to know what these dreams may have signified.
