semitic people are arabs as well and if muslims were semitic then they would not like their prophet, a better thing tosay is that they dont like the state of Israel. There should be another word for the hatred for Jews and it shouldn't be called anti-semitic

While "semitic" in its broadest sense does include all people of Middle Eastern heritage, in recent years, it has come to refer more specifically to the Jewish people. In that respect, it is entirely possible for Muslims to be anti-semitic.

The time period anti-Semitic refers to prejudice adverse to Jews. at the same time as the strict definition of the time period may seek for advice from with prejudice adverse to all Semitic peoples and cultures, the which technique of the time period is diverse than that. basically as homophobia does no longer recommend concern of homosexuals, anti-Semitism does no longer recommend prejudice adverse to all Semitic peoples. yet i visit agree that, in the U. S. a minimum of, anti-Muslim sentiment is at present more acceptable than anti-Jewish sentiment. it is a cutting-edge phenomenon, which began after the 9/11 attacks (that's exciting to note that anti-Semites nevertheless managed to target to apply 9/11 for his or her applications, claiming that Jews were in the back of it and forewarned).

You seem to be suggesting that Arabs are necessarily Muslims and that Muslims are Arabs. This is not true. No more than 70% Arabs are Muslims. And most Muslims are actually non-Arabs.

I agree with "dances_with_unicorns1955's" answer that anti-semitic is referred specifically to the Jewish people.

Why?

Because the term "anti-Semitic" was popularized by Zionists to gain support of the Isarel state. Whoever opposed the political ideologies of the Zionists were immediately demonized by being labelled as anti-Semitic.
