The Windows msgr at work won't let me log on to my personal MSN msgr account. Any ideas on how I work around whatever the IT guys did? (Is it even possible to do this?) Our existing OS is Windows XP, and the Windows Msgr is Version 5.1. Help! :)

Yes, it is easily possible and I strongly advise you don't try and change it, you could be made redundant.

Most likely the MSN port is blocked, you could try using http://www.e-messenger.net/ - Which allows access to MSN.

You can not remove the block, but you can use a web messenger. Some of them will be blocked but there are hundreds of them out there so there will be one that will work My favorute two are

http://www.iloveim.com/
http://www.ebuddy.com/

If those two don't work just Google something like "on line messenger" or "msn on line" or "on line instant messaging" and you should find a site that will get you round the block
