The answer is yes it is possible, depending on when you ovulate. Most omen ovulate about two weeks after they start their period. However some ovulate earlier or later, which is why some women get pregnant while on their periods. Stay calm the chances are slim but still there is a chance. If you don't start in the next few days get a test. You can take it up to 5 days before your period is due. The only problem is if you just had the oops and you are pregnant the HCG levels may not be high enough for a pee test to detect. If you take a test and it says negative and you don't start, take another test in 7 days and good luck Hun.

I'm not too sure exactly HOW possible it is but I know that it IS possible! Sperm can live up to around 72 hours! All it takes is ONE single sperm to fertilize an egg and there are millions of sperm in a tiny spot of semen (like the size of a period at the end of a sentence)!! Don't freak out because I'm not a doctor but I learned about human sexuality in my Psych class. You should get tested to know for sure. ASAP.

first of all, don't take too much notice of as_it_is - he always writes these long freaky answers, that have a lot of bull in them...
second, don't freak out. partly, it's a bit late for that now :) and partly cos there's plenty time to sort it out.
if this was less than 72hrs ago, you can go to your GP, or a clinic and get the morning after pill. you can't get an IUD fitted until you have had a baby, (or, i think, a late abortion). even if you are under 16, they don't have to tell your parents.
otherwise, see if your period comes. give it a while, because if you are tense, or scared, it may well be late. then if it doesn't, take a pregnancy test, and take it from there.
so.
the likelihood of your being pregnant depends on what you were doing to get sperm near your vagina.
if you were messing about and he came near you, then it's very, very unlikely that you are pregnant.
if he was inside you, and pulled out before he came, then it's still very unlikely...
but it IS possible, either way - especially if he was inside you. you know the clear fluid that comes out when he's turned on? that does contain a few sperm. and it only takes one.
however, most people need to be having full, unprotected sexual intercourse pretty regularly to get pregnant. but there is always a chance that it can happen the first time - i got pregnant the first time i slept with my kids' father. which is one reason why it's not a good idea to be risking it. even if you are not having full sex, if you are getting this close, you should be thinking about protection. either some protection for you - like the pill, or patches - or him wearing condoms. remember that morning after pills are for emergencies. you shouldn't think about using them as a regular form of contraceptive, because they have big loads of hormones in them that can mess with your body's natural processes.
which brings me to the second reason why what you've done is not really such a good idea...
STDs.
you don't need to be having full sex to catch STDs. you can get them from any sort of contact between his penis and your genitals.
and there are only 3 ways of making sure that you don't get STDs. 1) not having any sort of sexual contact with anyone. 2) getting the boy to have tests before you have sexual contact with him (and you have to be 100% sure that he's not having contact with anyone else in the time between having the test done and getting the results back!) and 3) using condoms.
there's nothing wrong with experimenting and messing about. but, so that you don't find yourself in a situation that you regret, you need to decide for yourself how far you want to go. don't let yourself be pressured into anything, by a boy, or by your own hormones :)
and, however far you decide you are ready to go, you do need to be responsible about it. for your health and so that you DON'T get pregnant until you are ready for a baby.

If you can be pregnant or if you have infertility problems I reccomend to follow this method http://pregnancy.toptips.org
Many factors can cause a couple trouble in conceiving a baby, I'll list a few of the most common ones in women:
Anorexia or other dietary dysfunctions
Lacking amounts of FSH and LH are produced, so ovaries aren't as functional as they could be, and so not many eggs are produced
Stress, causing periods to become irregular
Medications such as cancer treatments, antidepressants, hormone therapy, pain killers, and antipsychotic drugs can all cause temporary infertility.
With the method that I posted above you will be able to get pregnant!

Hi sweetie, it is possible, but unlikely, not because of the sperm thing but more beacuse if you only have a week left until your cycle finsihes then the egg has already been released and you have passed your fertile days so the chances of any stray sperm fertalising an egg is unlikely, so dont panic.
But the sperm thing can happen so be careful, it happened to my sister!!
Best wishes!

if you put your panties back on ofter his semon got in them than yes you could be pregnant. You never know expecially when your waiting for your period when you could be ovulating so there's more of a chance you could be pregnant. But I would say get a prenancy test first before you freak out to much than if you are I'm sorry but I guess you will know better for next time. Good Luck I hope your not pregnant

Although it's not impossible for you to get pregnant in this way (if the ejaculate was fresh then there is a VERY SLIGHT possibility) it is highly unlikely, if it was within the last 72 hours and your really distressed about it you can still take the morning after pill. However, i wouldn't worry too much about it, it is highly unlikely that your pregnant.

yes, but not likely...
if the sperm just happend to get close to the vaginal opening, it could sneak up into there...but since you are still a week away...it is unlikely, because the sperm usually last in the most optimum time 72-96 hours, which is 4 days...
what about STD's?...
good luck

pre-ejaculate fluid (pre-***) may contain sperm and withdrawal will have no effect since it's released well before he ejaculates. Thus, it does present a risk of pregnancy. Next, and perhaps more important, is the issue of consistency and self-control. Can he be perfectly consistent at withdrawing each time you have sex? If not, then what's done is done.
Go get a pregnancy test quick and next time use a condom.

Don't worry that much...Think about that maybe that day you wasn't ovulating...also there is a minimun chance because sperms dies quickly if they are not put in your *****...Also think that to be pregnant you will need more than a simple drop of sperm, the majority of the spermatozoa dies in way to the ovary...Don't freak out...
