Hi,
No book will change your life.
Think about the things you don't like about the way you are living your life now. Make a list of things you want to have in your life and read books about those topics to get ideas about what you must do to achieve them. It always comes down to doing things differenlty--reading won't change a thing.
There's an old saying attributed to an anonymous Zen master: "When the student is ready, the teacher will arrive." No matter how many books you read, you will not change your life until you are truly ready.
Best of luck to you.

This is a difficult question to answer as you can never really tell how strongly a book will affect another person. I have had several titles hit me in strong ways.
(1) "The Prince Of Tides" by Pat Conroy. Forget the movie (if you we unlucky enough to have seen it). This novel is a prime example of how helping someone else can help heal the greatest wounds in your life.
(2) "When I Fall In Love" by Iris Rainier Dart. The author of "Beaches", this little book (only about 300 pages) is all about seeing the beauty on the inside of people and learning how to let that heal.
(3) "The Lords Of Discipline" by Pat Conroy. Yes, Conroy is a favorite author. This novel shows just what friendship and honor is all about and how others can usually see growth in us that we cannot see in ourselves.
Well, those are some of the ones that have hit me. Hope you find something you like.

The Meditations - Marcus Aurelius
Here's a guy who basically was the most powerful person on the planet (about 2000 years ago) and how exactly did the emperor of Rome feel about his exalted position.
In a word....meh....
The good emperor, you see was given to folksy and simple advise, and was quite the philosopher. It's interesting from the perspective that alot of what he has to say was at the time considered the height of the Stoic philosophy, and is quite striking to the modern reader in that once you read his Meditations you understand that the basis of Christian thought is firmly grounded in no small part here instead of elsewhere.
