I had nothing to do with being American, my parents had sex and this is where I popped out. I do however think I was extremely lucky. Pride is taken on ones accomplishments and achievements not in something they had no control over.

I am proud to say that I'm a "Yankee", and an American ! You can tell when somebody is embarrased by their nationality on these Yahoo Answer post's, they bad mouth the U.S., yet NEVER mention the country that they are from, why ? They are "Embarrassed", THAT'S WHY !

No.
I find it hard to be proud of something that I had absolutely no control over whatsoever.
If I had hand picked my nationality, that would be another story... but I didn't.
