i have a bmw with gray ceiling (standard cloth material ceiling) . i would like to clean the ceiling coz ive noticed some discoloration around the side columns and ceiling. do i wash it? OR just use a brush on regular bases to remove dust and particles?

any suggestions would be extremely helpful.

How did you get stains on a 'headliner"? Stains are usually from a leak in the roof somewhere. Find the leak and repair it. You need to remove the headliner to pinpoint the leak anyway. Tough stains may not come out. Oxycleaner is advertised to clean items like this but i dont believe in things such as this. You may want to replace the headliner with a new one after you repair the leak.

I dont think I would wash it if its cloth. Maybe get some of that foaming carpet shampoo that you spray on and then brush off. That would probably work

its a "hoodliner"... wipe it with a soft damp cloth soaked with detergent.. (not too wet)
