I have a Linksys WCG200 cable gateway modem rests itself after downloading a few mpg files. I'm totally frustrated with their cust service...you're on hold for 45 mins to India and they finally said they don;t know what to do. I've emailed their cust support and they never respond. The cable line and computer work fine. There is no firmware upgrade on the Linksys site...any suggestions (other than "buy a new modem")?

I have the same problem with SBC DSL. Its random though, it seems to happen whenever I am downloading too many things at once. If I keep it to one mpg at a time it seems to be ok. I believe it may be an anti downloading mechanism that more and more companies are implementing. Could be I am just paranoid though.

I actually have had this similar problem with 2wire. My assure expired, and they suggested they could do no longer some thing about it. I went out and offered yet another one, sorry about your unlucky problem.
