My cousin is been feeling really left out for a while. She has this best friend who doesn't hang out with her or see her much, but calls her everyday and they live one block away from each other. Her best friend has another best friend who also live one block away and that person is always chillin at her place like everyday. My cousin knew her best friend two years longer than that other girl has. Would you consider my cousin and her best friend to be "best friends." Do you think my cousin should say something to her?

You could call her a Best Friend; but definitely not a True Friend. [It's an entirely different matter]

As long as your cousin consider her friend as the best among her friends; that's a Best Friend.

However, within the friends, there's what you call a Circle of Friends; and we can't avoid having two different circles.

For example, I am your friend, but still I have my own friends here at my place; and you have your friends there. But we're still friends, right? And I can consider you my best, despite of my friends here; because you're the best among all of my friends.

I wish you got my point.

No, it's only natural for friendships to evolve and grow apart. She just needs to accept her the way she is and widen her view to include others there may be someone else just waiting to be her new best friend at this time in her life. That doesn't mean the other girl isn't a friend anymore, just not the closest friend at this time and she may eventually notice they are growing apart and come back to reinforce the friendship. But your cousin just needs to make herself friendly and keep open to new friendships.

k, before ur cousin says anything,

maybe the other girl keeps going to her best freinds house,
and maybe her best friend doesn't want the other girl coming over as much,

i think that ur cousin should starting going over to her house, or tell her to come over,

just give it some time for awhile,
then if theres no changes, and then she should bring it up,
