ok, so i place my female barb that is full of eggs witha male barb she keeps chasing him around the tank yet the male comes near her and sticks his body near her, as in side by side, is this spawning?if not what is it? and oh i need a link...=)

Yes they are spawning. I liked this article:

I could not find any images of barbs spawning but it looks pretty distinctive. They sort of swim side by side and wrap their fin over each other. Then they make a sort of weird twitching motion. It is really distinctive from their regular swimming. Best of luck and way to go with spawning them!

Barbs are like Guppies, Mollies and Swordtails, all have live babies.. No worries..
