Its probably just a typographical error. Take your receipt and check stub to the bank and show them that they made an error. Its easy to do, even with computer technology. I withdrew $3000 from a savings into a checking account and they showed $30,000. Boy was I thinking of a way to get that money out; took them 3 months to discover their error. So it happens both ways. Always keep receipts, etc. You should have no problem straightening it out.

nope. I wouldn't but I also wouldn't spend the money either for about 6 months just in case someone finally notices the mistake. At the end of the day, the teller's bank would have come up 150 short and he would have had to spend hours after closing looking for the problem. Usually if the problems is not resolved then the bank takes the hit, not the teller. So there's my answer and I know it's not morally correct but it's what I would do with my financial situation right now!

The bank photographs all checks or at least make copies of them so you can go there and ask to see it.
