Up to 20% of American oil comes from the Middle East, if the U.S. stopped purchasing oil, countries such as China (a huge consumer of petro) would essentially take up the slack. Also, while oil sales do generate terrorist income, many terrorist organizations have diversified into the diamond trade, drug trafficking, real estate fronting, etc., knowing well the limitations of oil thru time. For example, in drug trafficking has an estimated $2 trillion market per year, and has become the best weapon for terrorists. Beyond helping terrorists to finance their wide range of illegal activities, the drug market has also allowed terrorist organizations to undermine targeted countries both politically and economically, while at the same time creating a crisis in the targeted country's public health system. Furthermore, the illegal drug trade has helped terrorist organizations recruit new members by citing drug use as an indication of Western degeneracy, and a sign that such corrupt societies need to be destroyed.

Finally, In 2002, the United Nations Relief Works Agency (UNRWA) distributed $521.7 million to the Palestinian Authority. Most of this money did not make its way into the pockets of the Palestinian people, as the average Palestinian continued to live on one to two dollars a day. Rather, large portions of this money ended up in the pockets of the Palestinian leaders and their terrorist associates. While the Palestinian Arab refugees constitute 17% of worldwide refugees, they receive more than one third of the annual refugee funds allocated by the UN, with roughly 30% of this $350 million coming from the United States. The staff of UNRWA, the organization that oversees and facilitates the aid to Palestinians, is staffed by so many Hamas members that it is nicknamed the "Hamas Union." In the UN refugee camps themselves, large amounts of weapons and bomb materials have been found, including facilities to create rockets that can reach major Israeli cities. These weapons have been constructed under the watchful eye of the UN, and with money given to the UN under the guise of aiding impoverished refugees.

Also, numerous terrorists receive funding from the U.S, via those who have successfully emigrated here.

Basically, the answer is no since funding sources now exist from several quarters.

It would not stop but it's life blood would slowly be drained and they would not have the almost unlinited funding they now enjoy. But for the accident of geography that placed petroleum in their lands the Islmaic radicals would by now have eaten one another and not be the serious threat to world peace that they are.
Several nuances of the situation should not be overlooked, however.
1.No matter what the currency or how much money is made by major international petro companies, the states over there are getting richer and richer. Although they have begun to industrialize a little there doesn't seem to be a good labor force available and these efforts are not being generally successful. Their fall back is purchasing the national debt of other countries so as to have income after the petroleum is gone. If you own enough of this you can influence everything in a country, it's economy, it's politics, it's very survival. If we in the USA do not demand that Arab Islamic countries not be allowed to purchase US debt then they will have a serious problem in coming decades and that sustainable income source for their terrorist activities will continue even after the oil is gone.
2. Why, why do we continue to conduct business life as usual with countries at war (de facto militarially or economically)? We should simply seize the petroleum in Iraq and use it as our own. We should do the same when we go to war (imminent) with Iran. We should also assess all the Arab countries with petroleum payments to offset the costs of trying to stabilize their area. One of the primary reasons that this isn't done is that there would be so much petroleum available cheaply that the big oil companies based in UK and France would not be making absorbitant profits.
What a world!

A very insightful and interesting question. Most people don't equate the Saudis with terrorism finance and strategic planning- but Saudi money is behind every Islamicist or Jihadi movement in every non-Saudi country ilke Pakistan, Malaysia and Indonesia- even the UK.
Bin Laden is but a few steps removed from the Saudi ruling family and he views himself as a freedom fighter trying to overthrow the corrupt, brutal Faud dictator dynasty.
Who knows- maybe if the West allows more self-determination in the region and can keep its intereference-prone hands off- we may all learn to get along- even though we may not like each other terribly much.
France and the US get along- even though there's an element of dislike- why can't the Middle East be the same?

Considering that OPEC are talkine about switching to a petro-Euro it won't be long before the dollar value drops and nobody will want to use it anymore. Iran already trade their oil in Euros so it wouldn't matter there. Russia trade part of their oil in Euros and Venezuela are considering it. So in answer to your question - no!
