this classmate of mine, tends to befriend me and talk to me really nice , buys me presents and stuff but at my back, she tells people my secrets and talks bad about me..i really don't know whether she's truthful enough..what should i do??

That's called a foe.
Why?
It's because friends are people who stab you at your front. Friends can be blunt honest to tell you what's wrong in front of you, directly to you; because you are friends and they know that you would accept them still.
But Foes, stab you at their back because they want to leave a very clean impression to you. And they never realize that they were actually stabbing you at the back.
Plus, you can't avoid such people. It's all over the world.
This is reality.

If its a friend, she really cares about you, tells you her secrets doesn't lie to you and loves you.....
If its a foe, she says bad things about you, bosses you around, tels people your secrets...
I think your "friend" is a foe. You said that she says bad stuff about you behind your back and that is not what a friend is. Maybe she's just jealous......

Anyone who talks behind your back is not a friend. And friendship is not about buying one another stuff. So yeah, this classmate of yours is so not a friend.

I have the same problem. People sometimes just want to earn your trust so that they can use whatever then can against you.
Sorry to hear that. Life is like one giant high school but on a bigger scale.

She is not someone you can pour your sorrow and problem too.. She is just a passer-by, someone who just take place in your life.
Dont be affected by it much.
If possible, just keep your distance.. =)

what do you mean "not truthful enough"
she's not being truthful at all.
she's telling you she's your friend, but she's showing you that she's actually not.
kinda like americans do to us Canadians.
