It does and doesn't count as the same at the same time.

It is the same since you are doing tne reps.

However, what your doing to the left arm is known as a rest pause set. This is a shocking method used when on a plateu or to help build strength.

When you do a rest pause set, you are giving your msucle a little time to recover, 5-10 sec it should be, therefore letting it get some energy back since your not contracting it.

If your not going to do this to both arms, I would decrese the weight. if you keep doing this, your arms will not devolop the same.

If you can do 10 reps at 30 lbs in the right, try 25 lbs on the left or 27.5 if your gym has them.

with this method you are working the left arm less than the right. over time this will cause a difference in the development of the muscles. if you are working on strenght and tone, you probably won't notice much. if you are trying to bulk up, you will notice a difference.

If you can't do both ten rep with both hand you might be using too heavy of a weight. This could result in improper position and could have less of a workout
